Brain Injury Awareness in Louisiana has a New Home in Acadiana!

You Are Not Alone

Together We Will Make a Difference

Welcome to the AMAZE Foundation

Mission Statement

We are a network of thought leaders coming from various walks of life and credentials committed to
raising brain health awareness and providing support, education, resources and a community,
complementing the treatments of the modern medical system with evidence-based modalities and compassionate connection to anyone who could benefit from a healthier brain, both locally
in Louisiana and beyond.

Brain Injury has been accurately called a silent epidemic for decades. Folks dealing with brain injury find their resources abruptly halted
when they need them the most.

We seek out those treatment modalities that help
with leftover symptoms that may be accessible today

By banding together sharing resources and supporting each other to gain access to some degree of healing

AMAZE Foundation supports brain injury by Public Speaking, Support Group Efforts as well as getting out in the public eye to gain support for this silent epidemic

Paul Bosworth

Brain Injury Speaker /Concussion Advocate

Paul's mission is to bring a voice to a silent illness. After a traumatic brain injury on September 11, 2007, Paul was treated and released from a trauma one center in the Washington, DC area told that there was no protocol to treat his concussion. Visits to the hospital along with a long list of doctors to discern why his organs were misfiring. Hope waned. Catheters were assigned to his bladder woes forever. Paul seeked a way out. To date Paul has visited Capitol Hill DC over the past 10 years to learn the latest and greatest for brain health along with who else is in his corner with Brain Injury Association of America. The critical need presented itself. Brain Injury is a Silent Epidemic. Now, his IBM training kicked in. Paul committed to become a Voice for Brain Injury. One of 1000 points of light, so to speak. He has spoken to over two dozen groups over the past 11 years sharing his journey of gaining life back post brain injury on 9/11/2007. He also attends a yearly Brain Injury Conferences to learn other perspectives on this diverse topic. He is featured in several books that are informative and inspirational on this brain injury topic as well. Paul is a main source for getting Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) as well as enabling access to many other therapies available, in LA as well as across the USA, as an viable option for brain health post trauma. As a matter of fact, He has influenced a local physician to add HBOT to his offerings as a viable wellness modality. Paul is the driving force behind AMAZE Brain Injury Group that he began with a couple people back in 2011. Today AMAZE Brain Injury Group thrives by opening families eyes to alternative options that certainly help as current medical practices fall short and are deemed incomplete by decades of observations.

About Us

Our club has steadily expanded since its founding in 2011 and now includes Members from all over the region.  We began with Acadiana Brain Injury Center at Our Lady of Lourdes meeting sporadically from month to month. Then with Janelle Forrest's help gained access to Victory Recovery and Addiction Center on Kaliste Saloom Road.

Once Victory made the decision to expand operations within our meeting space we moved on. Today, due to COVID-19, We meet online utilizing ZOOM technology platform. We gather to support and learn how we can gain life back
through practical methods and therapies that enable us to keep going.

The words most commonly mentioned when a new person or family learns there is hope is often
"That's AMAZE-ing"  Friends and Family are waking up to the reality that there is Hope after brain injury.
